Philosophy
We firmly believe that Web3 gaming will play a significant role in the future of the gaming industry. Therefore, we are committed to building a project that can operate in the long term, with the economy system playing a crucial part in its success. Through well-thought-out economic design, we aim to provide players with a lasting and healthy gaming experience while creating a sustainable ecosystem.
Season-Driven Game Updates
Rune Hero’s operation will be driven by seasonal updates. Each season will bring major content additions, including but not limited to the introduction of new characters, higher level caps, new dungeons and boss challenges, new equipment and items, new systems, and entirely new gameplay modes.
The seasonal model ensures the game’s content remains rich and engaging, offering players new goals and challenges with each update. This keeps Rune Hero fresh and exciting, allowing players to enjoy a long-term, deep gaming experience.
Social Interaction and Self-Value
Social interaction is a key aspect of Rune Hero and is deeply integrated into many systems. Players can easily team up with friends to tackle dungeons, quickly complete tasks, and earn achievements and rewards. They can also initiate duels with guild members, allowing a global audience to watch in real time. Through these rich social interactions, we want players to feel a sense of self-value.
Players are often willing to pay for increased visibility, such as purchasing personalized cosmetics or boosting their prominence in social activities. This enhances players' engagement while driving the overall economy, moving Rune Hero beyond a zero-sum game model and creating in-game and out-of-game value through social activities.
Multidimensional Player Demands
In Rune Hero, the integration of PvE and PvP systems is crucial for maintaining a healthy and vibrant economy. If all players rely solely on PvE to continuously obtain rare items and equipment for monetization, the market will face a single-demand dilemma. Once user growth halts, demand will quickly dwindle, leading to severe price fluctuations. To address this issue, we have introduced an engaging PvP system to attract players who are eager to compete against others. These players seek positive experiences through defeating opponents, thereby injecting new demand into the market and fostering overall ecosystem prosperity. This is why we are committed to developing an exciting combat system.
Unlike PvE players who receive consistent rewards from dungeons, PvP players must participate in various PvP activities and improve their rankings to earn regular rewards. To encourage greater participation in PvP, we have designed the overall output of the game to ensure that PvP rewards exceed those of PvE. This design not only enhances player competitiveness and engagement but also ensures the dynamic balance and sustained growth of the game’s economy.
Principles of Economic Design
To build a balanced and deep economic system, we adhere to the following key design principles:
1. Advantage for Paying Users
Paying users will have certain advantages in Rune Hero compared to free users. This design encourages players to pay for more content or faster character growth, ensuring that paying players receive fair returns on their investments. At the same time, we ensure that free players can still find enjoyment and progress steadily, maintaining a balance between both groups.
2. Nonlinear Growth in Development Costs and Return
In Rune Hero, the development of characters and rewards follows a non-linear growth pattern. As a character’s strength increases, the cost of further development rises significantly, requiring more resources and time in the later stages. However, the rewards also increase accordingly. High-level characters not only perform better in battles but also gain access to greater rewards and unique achievements.
3. Dynamic and Balanced Economy
The game’s economy will be continuously adjusted through data monitoring and player feedback. We will regularly assess the production and consumption of resources to ensure that paying users’ benefits and free users’ growth paths remain reasonably balanced. By avoiding extreme advantages on either side, we aim to ensure that all players can find a path of growth and enjoyment that suits them.
